AOL has launched a new viral campaign centered around their AIM Mail offering. The effort revolves around several "fake" AOL users. You can see all of them at this microsite set up for the viral campaign.
Oh yeah... each of these fictional users has a blog. Yet these blogs add very little to the viral effort in terms of content. What's more, they're using AOL's blogging platform, which is about as bad as the MSN platform.
The only good thing about the campaign are the viral videos they created for a couple of the "fake" users. You can see those here and here. But as Adland points out, they didn't secure the other usernames as URLs, so not all of the "fake" users have a viral video...
