Wired has a great article entitled "Minifesto for a New Age." That's not a typo, by the way. The article is about what the author refers to as "snack culture."
"We now devour our pop culture the same way we enjoy candy and chips -
in conveniently packaged bite-size nuggets made to be munched easily
with increased frequency and maximum speed."
It's a great read, and worth taking note, if you can get past the cheesy "snack" metaphor. Read the full article here.

Hmmm...the loss of our attention spans and ability to concentrate for extended periods (on a book, for instance) is made to seem normal here, almost desirable. Yet, I can't say that I'm too happy about the development. In fact, I'm perpetually looking for ways to fight it.
