Digg for Shoppers

Totallyloveit

Iliketotallyloveit.com is Digg for shoppers. I ran across this great site in the March 2007 edition of Wired Magazine, and I think it illustrates the general evolution of things online. If you aren't the first to market, pull a "long-tail" and create something niche!

eBay Pop!

Ebaypop

eBay Pop is a buying "buzz" and trend watching site for all things eBay. It tracks "movers and shakers" in a number of different product categories, but also has games, a blog and an online community. This is how you use the eBay API, folks. Definitely worth a look.

Cyber Thanksgiving, Not Monday

As a follow-up to the Cyber Monday post from yesterday, eMarketer has released data showing that Thanksgiving day was actually a larger online shopping day than Black Friday. This is really interesting news, since most of us were probably under the impression that people were too busy spending time with their families on Thanksgiving day to be online... let alone actually shopping online.

What's more... Hitwise shows that Thanksgiving day itself is the largest online shopping day of the year.

Become.com Public Beta

Become_2Threadwatch points to Become.com starting their public beta. It's a new shopping search engine that is supposed to focus on things like consumer reviews instead of actual products. Anyone can sign up for the public beta, and it looks like it has potential... although it also looks like they have a long way to go.

As a side note, Become.com has the founders of MySimon and Wisenut at the helm.
