OurColony: Update 5

Ourcolony2Well, the countdown on the OurColony clock has ended, and on the homepage, you can now download a video that releases more details about Xbox 360. It looks to be a pretty interesting game console, and surely there will be even more details coming out at E3.

But it felt like an odd way to end the OurColony experience, with really no mention of anything about OurColony itself... One of the interesting things about using an alternate reality game to market a product is that you have two distinct audiences... the ARG fanatics, and the product fanatics. Was this conclusion to OurColony disappointing to all the ARG fanatics out there?

OurColony Update 4

SkinabilityThe OurColony clock is ticking down to the release of more details about the new Xbox 360 (only 3 days left). We've seen some images leaked, but one of the latest photos alludes to some type of "skin-ability" of the new hardware. You can see it pictured here. Link via Game-Hawg.

In addition, there's been some speculation that the folks behind the Ilovebees promotion for Halo 2, 4orty 2wo Entertainment, might be behind OurColony as well. There's a great interview with members of 4orty 2wo in the latest Game Developer Magazine... well worth the read (sorry, not online). Thanks to Dave for giving me his copy of the mag to read.
